Express a “Community Concern”

By submitting a Community Concern, you are demonstrating that you care about the people in the Keck Geology Consortium where we expect everyone in the community to treat each other with respect. Thank you for your care and for taking the time to express your concern. We will likewise take care to respect your privacy and offer you the support and resources you deserve.

When should I submit a Community Concern?

Whenever you believe that concerning behavior is affecting you or other members of our community. There is no concern that is too minor—by communicating with our community about what kind of behavior we expect from each other, we strengthen our community standards. When the Consortium is informed of what is occurring in our community, we can intervene as needed, we can connect community members with support and resources, and we can identify what topics should be included in our community education and prevention efforts.

Where does a Community Concern form go?

When you submit a Community Concern it is sent to the Keck Geology Consortium Office which consists of the Program Manager, Theresa Klauer, and Co-Directors, Karl Wirth and Cam Davidson. If the concern is sexual in nature, it is also routed to the Title IX Coordinator at Macalester College.

What type of follow-up should I expect?

The Consortium will respond promptly and effectively to your concern. You can expect that within 48-hours staff will contact you to make sure that we understand your concern and to discuss any next steps and possible support options for you and any other people involved.  If this is a concern you know you want to talk with someone about, please contact the Co-Directors: Cam Davidson (507-222-7144) or Karl Wirth (651-696-6449) or the Program Manager, Theresa Klauer (651-696-6881).

Report a Concern to Macalester Title IX Coordinator
